MOSUL, July 10 (VOI) - A civilian was killed in an armed attack in eastern Mosul, a police source said on Thursday, noting that his mother died when she heard the news.

"Unidentified gunmen opened fire on a civilian in Hay al-Jazaer region in eastern Mosul, killing him on the spot," the source, who requested anonymity, told Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq - (VOI).

"The dead man had an exchange shop and his mother died immediately when she heard the news," he added.
